The unexpected victory against top of the league Bees was a great game for our many following fans as we came from behind to win with a comfortable performance! And Santos were saved by the posts and crossbar or it would have been another 8-4 hammering by the Spartans there.’

‘We did well against Santos scoring six and keeping a clean sheet but played poorly against the Spartans, not putting away our chances. We were back on form and enjoyed the last match of the day, hitting 10 past the Knights. We are carrying quite a few injuries now so hope a weeks rest is enough recovery time before the tour hits Bournemouth.’

‘I feel the did really this weekend. We were lucky enough o be able to call upon the playing skills of one of the guys based on the Isle of Wight who also plays for England, Jamie O’Rourke, as well as Chris Atwood; both of whom were a bonus for us. It’s just a shame we won’t have them for the rest of the tour! We fielded a couple of fresh players this weekend, including the keeper, and they all stood up well to the challenge. Ultimately I’m happy with the wins we got because it was a tiring day with three games and we picked up some injuries along the way. This year is more of a learning year for the Knights team but I’m very pleased with how the team has gelled and come on so far!’
